Primary Responsibilities:

• Upon the order of a qualified healthcare provider, the Vascular/Echo Ultrasound Technologist will operate equipment using high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Cardiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to perform vascular and/or cardiac sonography
• Utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS) as is applicable
• May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by the supervisor to perform those duties. These procedures may include EKGs, holter monitoring, event monitoring, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, and satellite test transmissions and result coordination

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• RDCS or RCS and RVT or RVS
• 1+ years of direct clinical experience in all phases of echocardiography and vascular studies
• Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiography studies to the satisfaction of the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiologists OR graduate with 6+ months clinical rotations through an accredited echo and/or vascular sonography program and hiring department can provide direct supervision for 3+ months
• Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiography and vascular studies to the satisfaction of the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiologists
• Ability to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience performing vascular or echocardiography
• Demonstrated GE Ultrasound, Phillips Ultrasound, Parks Flo Lab and Unetixs equipment familiarity
• PACS and RIS experience
• Bilingual

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
