Seeks an Instructor or Higher (Diagnostic Radiology)
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Texas medical licensure, or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in diagnostic radiology or meets the prerequisites for application to the American Board of Radiology’s Alternate Pathway for International Medical Graduates
- Training and experience in all imaging modalities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board certification in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology for the rank of assistant professor or higher
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
Position Description:
- Provides clinical services and teaching of diagnostic radiology
- Interprets X-rays in all modalities of diagnostic radiology
- Mentors and instructs residents, fellows, and medical students in research projects, as requested or assigned by department chair
- Lectures and hold conferences and participates in related meetings and school functions
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
- Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
- Contributes to the community through academically related public service complementary to the institutional mission
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of Texas Tech Health El Paso
